move. feel. create.

through the body, into the wild, toward creative renewal

Hi and Welcome.

After a nourishing hiatus from teaching that began in May 2022, I’ve returned to the work that lives in my bones—guiding somatic practices and immersive retreats rooted in creative embodiment, meaningful connection, wild nature, art & culture. This pause was essential—a time to restore my body, reorient my creative compass, and tend to life projects that needed sustained attention away from social media. I can’t recommend this kind of pause enough. After decades of supporting successful creatives of all kinds to get their juju back, I took time to invest in my own personal practice and creative projects. You know—the “walk the walk” bit.

What have I been up to? Over the past three years, I produced and co-created the podcast SOLEFUL, produced and directed an internal campaign film for the Institute For Freedoms, and produced shoots for my husband’s aerial cinematography company, Stellar Visioning. I also launched a new collaborative photography project with women (more soon), and continued developing my long-envisioned documentary (also more soon). Most importantly, I tended to my garden—both literal and internal—including a long-needed foot surgery that has allowed me to return to dance and a thriving asana practice. I feel full and ready to share the next iteration of my work.

My return wasn’t rushed. It arrived as a slow, unmistakable impulse—an emergent feeling that it was time. And so, here I am, stepping through the threshold from a profound period of liminality.

I’m thrilled to be offering local somatic practices again at Shefa Yoga Venice, as well as immersive retreats and residencies that weave embodiment, wild nature, cultural immersion, and of course regional gastronomy and wine shared among inspiring humans.

For those of you in Europe, or those longing to take a break from the noise here in the Americas, this July and August I’ll be leading the Soma + Terra Residency in partnership with my dear friend Olivia Mariotti and her stunning Tenuta di Paternostro, a 30-hectare estate of wild beauty nestled in the Lazio countryside outside of Rome. You’re all invited.

Later in the year, I’ll also return to Italy to lead a one-of-a-kind New Year’s Retreat that begins in Rome and culminates at the Tenuta.

If something in all this speaks to you, I invite you to join me—at a local class, in the hills of Lazio, or wherever our paths may cross. Check back soon as offerings are being onboarded here regularly.

See you on the mat, by the fire, at the tavola, or under the Tuscia sky.

With love,

Micheline Pierrette Berry
